Before You Choose Beach Wedding Invitations, Consider These Points!

Are you getting a little overwhelmed with planning all the elements of your beachfront wedding, including shopping for your beach themed favors and beach wedding invitations?  If so, don't despair!  Chances are most brides would admit to facing wedding overload at one point or another, even if they don't particularly have a theme such as for a beachfront wedding.  Having a wealth of options for favors and accessories and food items is a great thing, but its downside is that all those options can sometimes make your head swim!  And this is true with your wedding invitations, as there are many available today that have a wonderful beach theme to them.  This might mean seashells or a beautiful ocean design or just the colors you would expect to associate with the waterfront.  But before you decide on the invitations for your beachfront wedding, consider a few points.

For one thing, if you're experience beach overload when shopping for your wedding items, your guests might soon feel the same way.  Have a romantic ceremony in the sand and in front of crashing waves can be very beautiful and unique, but must everything for your wedding involve shells and sand and the water?  You might want to draw the line somewhere when it comes to your accessories and necessary items so that these things don't start to look downright tacky.  There are many invitations that would probably do very well for your ceremony but that aren't necessarily tagged as beach wedding invitations.  Look for some that have a sandy shade to the paper and lettering, and keep the font somewhat casual as this would be expected for a beachfront wedding.

Also, you may find that you pay more for items that have a particular theme to them, including those invitations.  They may include accessories that normally wouldn't be available in other invitation sets such as seashell stickers for the inner envelopes and actual sand glued to the paper for a raised effect.  These things can make those invitations cost up to twice the price of regular, plainer invitations.  And these days everyone is concerned with how to save money!  So ask yourself if these details are really worth the cost overall.

Of course if you have your heart set on invitations with a seashell or beach theme, don't think you need to forego that.  You may be able to buy plainer invitations and dress them up yourself, such as with small shell stickers you buy at the dollar store or craft store.  Use a craft stamp in the shape of a shell on the inner or outer envelope.  And if you are shopping for beach wedding invitations from a printing company, be sure to compare prices and shop around.  Even if you save a few cents on each invitation, that can add up to quite a bit when you think of how many invitations you need.  And in the end, you'll be glad you found the perfect invitations for your wedding!
